Catching up

Posted September 13, 2011

Well, it's 4:19 am and I am wide awake.  Been that way since about 10 minutes to 2.  I have a lot on my mind, so what better way to try and get back to sleep than to "blog-dump" it!

rain at Cain

Posted August 2, 2011

Not to be confused with pain at Cain, an altogether less pleasant Cain experience.  I took my son up to Cain where we stayed in a borrowed cabin and generally checked things out.  There is still a lot of snow.  And bears - lots of bears...

enough to ski on still...not bad for July 30th!

so let's just forget about my sore back for a moment...

Posted November 25, 2010

I've been playing in this band in my neighbourhood for about, oh, six months or so now.  I play tenor sax, some cowbell, maracca's, back up vocals and even lead vocals.  It all started because the owner of the local coffee shop wanted to win a bet with his brother, and here he is winning it. Last season I had the chance to try quite a few bikes out, and this year, so far, I am trying a few more.  This is in part thanks to Trail Bicycles and the excellent demo program Jeff runs.  For instance, if you were to go ask Jeff nicely right now, you would be able to pick from a Banshee Spi…
