I was initially quite sad to miss skiing at Mt Cain yesterday. They had snow fall all week and as they are only open on weekends, it was sure to be epic. However, all is well today as I finally felt better (after having Norwalk - I won't bore you with the details, needless to say most of Thursday and Friday is a blur) and I went up to Mt Washington to get my son to his last ski lesson in the Mighty Tots program. For me, this meant a couple of hours of skiing, and holy crap was it puking snow! (much better than the puking I experienced earlier in the week...).

| This was the view riding the Whisky Jack as the Eagle and the Boomerang were closed due to high winds. Not much visibility anywhere... |
There was also a lot of wind blowing, so lots of drifts and areas that have been scoured. It didn't matter that much, there was so much snow that you could always find powder to turn in.

| This is how the little white truck looked at the end of the day. About a foot of fresh in the parking lot on the ground around it and at least eight inches of wind compacted snow drifted on the windshield... |
You know how everyone always talks about that day where after every run they go up and its snowing so hard their traks are already filled in? Well, we all know that is exaggeration whenever we hear the story, so here's some truth. We skied a section of trees this morning, and found it pretty badly wind affected. By the end of the day when we skied it again, there was a foot of fresh. No joke - no exaggeration.
And its still snowing up there...
